Both Italians and Chinese lay claim to inventing the noodle. There are many stories to support either one, but regardless of facts or myths, this simple food has undeniably become a worldwide staple. Travel and trade made the culture of noodles spread out and take several names and recipes: the most popular noodles in China are gan mian, in Japan, menruin and Ramen, in Korea guksu or myeon and in Thailand mee.
