Social Media has been awash with comments about Flavia Tumusiime’s post on day 27 of her “30 days of Flavia” series. In the post, the Radio and TV sweetheart who joined the game when she was 15 years old, revealed that while in South Africa on a Big brother gig back in 2012, she was approached by American rapper J. Cole whose sexual advances she turned down.
When she was asked if she is bothered by the negative comments being posted about her on Social Media for a week now, the graceful NTV Uganda news anchor said that she is not bothered at all, she will let people air their views and she will not respond to anyone about the matter.
“The truth about me is that I like being real. I would rather have two fans who are real and are not pretending than to have the whole of Facebook singing praises of me,” she stated. “Everyone has their reason to react the way they have reacted. I wrote the post and I stand by it. To me it made sense and it still makes sense even to some people. Mentioning J. Cole’s name shows that I am not insecure and I don’t feel J. Cole is more important than anyone.”
“I have learnt that you can only do so much in life. I have nothing against anyone, J. Cole, people taking it the wrong way. Let people have their reaction, I am not perfect. That is why am not replying to anyone. Perhaps they feel strong about their feelings the same way I feel about mine. I carry nothing against anybody, I wrote my 30 days and I am happy,” she added.
Flavia then shared an inspirational message for girls who want to be like her. To them she said; “Pick some features of mine and use them. Be prayerful, plan to achieve and achieve. Over the years hard work does pay. With hardwork comes negativity but it does pay at the end.”
We will keep you posted.
