Former Bukedde TV presenter Flavia Namulindwa has revealed she was earning UGX 3.8 million monthly during her time at the Vision Group-owned station.

Flavia, who was widely known for hosting popular shows like Oluyimba Lwo and Full Doze, parted ways with the TV station around 2019 under circumstances she describes as “unclear.”
Speaking out recently, Flavia shared that her salary at the time was not enough to meet her needs or reflect her contribution.
This financial dissatisfaction, she said, played a key role in her decision to leave Uganda and seek greener pastures abroad. She now resides in the United States, where she says life has drastically improved.
Using the example of fellow media personality Kakalamu, who reportedly earned UGX 500,000 per month before relocating to Canada, Flavia highlighted how these earnings have significantly changed.
“He now makes that amount in a single day,” she noted, emphasizing the difference in economic opportunities outside Uganda.
Flavia encouraged Ugandans to be bold and explore better opportunities beyond borders, especially if they feel undervalued in their current careers. “Sometimes it’s not about loyalty to the job—it’s about knowing your worth,” she advised.
Looking ahead, Flavia has her sights set on political leadership. She officially announced her intention to contest for the Gomba East Member of Parliament seat in the 2026 general elections.
