The Uganda film industry has lost an enthusiastic and inspiring young film maker and actress Ayikhamiye Espellah who was laid to rest at her ancestral home in Masaka.
Espellah, 25, had started a film production company known as Wolf films, owned a film school on Entebbe road and had also acted in several movies at the time of her death.
She passed away a few days ago after she was taken to hospital following complications with her pregnancy. It is said that Espellah died due over bleeding after she was operated on to remove the premature baby. Unfortunately the baby that was being incubated also passed away a few hours later.
Espellah’s husband Oris, an employee at Record TV, was left in sorrow and will now have to bring up their baby boy of about 3 years by whom she is survived as a single parent.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
