Shortly after Uganda Cranes suffered a national heartbreak of losing a game to Senegal in Marrakesh, Fenon under the stewardship of Steve Jean is trying to restore people’s hopes by releasing it’s video “we believe” a song that was sponsored by MTN.
The former Tusker Project Fame contestant Ester Nabaasa did this song from Fenon records whose video was directed by one of the best directors in Uganda, Steve Jean. However, it has attracted a series of criticism from fellow video producers who have complained of the concept used for the video.
The project that was shot indoors with people dancing to the song compelled many to complain why he never at least used any clip of Uganda Cranes players scoring at Namboole or the fans.
However, Steve Jean is one producer known for setting a standard and challenge to others and will do everything to set a new trend and probably that’s why he developed such a concept for this song.
According to one of his former workers, he informed us that Steve once told him that Ugandans love watching what they know and what they have come across and when you develop a new thing, new concept, they take it for a mistake.
Meanwhile the video has already started airing at major TV stations in the country.
