The Fashion Revolution Expo is returning for its 2nd edition this December.

Launched in 2019, the expo is aimed at supporting and promoting people in the arts and fashion industry by giving them a platform to reach a global market.

Vivianna Zoe-Girl (the Founder), revealed that “Fashion is among the industries that have shaped conversations not only in Uganda but world over, with fashion trends emerging every now and then, thus presenting a lucrative avenue for individuals to explore as the industry continues to mark its presence on the international scene. However, meaningful partnerships need to manifest continuously if this realization to be met.”

This year’s edition will be themed “Dipped in Fashion. Bronzed in Beauty & Elegance” and will focus on fostering talent and skill among young, passionate and artistic designers.

The event is expected to attract top fashion designers from the region who will showcase their latest designs. Revelers will also be treated to entertainment from sensational saxophonist, Jose Sax.

“With the global pandemic hitting the world, imports from Uganda’s largest business hubs like China, and other trading regions was halted, which set a clear indication that we needed to harness the manufacture of locally made products to meet the market demand, and that includes the clothes we wear, not forgetting other goods and services,” Vivianna added.

The Fashion Revolution Expo will be held virtually on Sunday, December 6th in adherence to COVID-19 SOP’s.
