Renowned fashion designer Joe Malaika is preparing for his highly anticipated annual fashion event, EXCESSIVE FASHION.

The show will take place on December 8th, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.

This event will bring together the world of fashion and philanthropy, with proceeds going towards amputees in Uganda who lack access to health insurance for prosthetic limbs.

Malaika, an inclusive designer, has been celebrated for his contributions to the fashion industry.

He has received recognition from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston as one of the top designers in the region.

Known for his commitment to individuals with limb differences, Malaika made headlines in 2023 when he featured an all-amputee model lineup for the first time.

This groundbreaking event attracted local media attention, including coverage from WBZ Boston and 7 News Boston, as it coincided with the 10th anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombing.

Joe Malaika’s work continues to push the boundaries of fashion while also giving back to the community.

Proceeds from EXCESSIVE FASHION will benefit ASNU (Amputee Self Help Network Uganda), a non-profit organization co-founded by fellow Ugandan and amputee advocate Jared Kalera.

Kalera’s strength and advocacy for amputees inspire Malaika’s mission to help provide prosthetic limbs and empower amputees in Uganda.

Fashion lovers and supporters of the cause are invited to join Joe Malaika and Jared Kalera for an unforgettable evening of style, compassion, and community.
