Farouk Miya thanks fans for supporting Uganda Cranes

Uganda Cranes star Farouk Miya has thanked fans for supporting Uganda Cranes. This comes after Uganda finally ended their 39-year jinx in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Farouk Miya was the goal scorer as Uganda defeated Comoros 1-0 in their final Group D game in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers to finally secure a slot at Africa’s biggest football tournament in Gabon next year. The game was played in front of a full packed Mandela National Stadium who cheered on the team to victory.

Miya expressed his gratitude to the fans on social media where he posted: “Very hard game it is been today but finally we have made it boys… thanks to all the fans that made it to namboole today you were the best I have seen in my life thank you Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) thank you coach Micho and your team…UGANDA WE AT AFCON”
