As Uganda continues with its quest for a 14th CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup crown, Cranes Captain Farouk Miya is determined bring the silverware home.

Miya revealed the team’s aspirations yesterday in a post-match interview after being handed his man-of-match nod following Uganda’s 2-0 victory over Malawi to progress to the semi-finals of the regional tournament.

“We are determined to reach the finals and take the title. We are ready to work for it,” Miya said.

The young lad scored a 6th minute goal while Ceaser Okhuti summed it up with a 48th minute strike against Malawi yesterday.

Uganda has steadily improved their performances since losing 2-0 in the first game against Kenya in their Group B opener at the competition.

The Cranes went on to showcase their brilliance by thrashing Zanzibar 4-0 before edging Burundi 1-0 to qualify for the quarter finals in which they beat Malawi to reach the semi-finals.
