Bebe Cool has overtime grown into a social media sensation because of his rather controversial posts. The “Love you everyday” singer who is known for his candid commentary has come under fire on several occasions from his disappointed followers and today the story was no different when he posted about his recent endeavors.
Bebe Cool posted: “Am shocked by Uganda’s politics,i was paid to perform in Mbarara at an event dubbed ‘Western awards’ to my shock as i perform my second song guest of honour arrives at around 11:30 Amama Mbabazi & wife.For God’s sake mr promoter am a MUSEVENI DIE HARD and setting me up to recognise Mbabazi could not work out coz it was just too obvious.”
Most of his followers found his ranting unnecessary and rather foolish as they unleashed their wrath on him. Fans advised him to stop mixing politics with entertainment.
A one Kats Diana commented: “What does your music have to do with your frickin political affiliations??? You post the dumbest things, it’s courteous to recognize a guest of honor, whether you like him or not. That’s what normal respectable people do. Just food for thought, does this mean you make music for only Museveni supporters?? Or are you trying to imply that your non Museveni fans are irrelevant?? No body asked you to vote Mbabazi, he was simply a guest of honor, noble people respect guests of honor. When you become one, which I highly doubt, we shall also have no choice but to respect you too. That’s what civilized people do!!!”
Another Patrick Kigozi wrote: “Do your music and leave the politics to the politicians. If you are paid to perform….get on with it, it doesn’t matter what side of the political divide a promoters lies. Your Father Owek Bidandi fell out with Museveni but you still love him and support Museveni at the same time. Belamu class nawe.”
Alf Kampalan also added: “I have read many foolish posts on FB by many foolish people, but this one is the most foolish i have ever seen.”
No one seemed to sympathize with Bebe Cool; the singer was even forsaken by the so called Gagamel soldiers(read: sworn Bebe Cool fans).
A one Oworinawe Eliasaph commented: “Honestly Bebe, I’m ur die hard fan, jst like u r a M7 die hard, but here u lose it and u owe the nation n ur fanbase an apology. For God’s sake, whats wrong with performing at a function where someone u dont support is a Chief Guest? If M7 lost the next presidential bid, would u quit music?? Grow up man, tuswala!!”
