When Mary Luswata said that Juliana was ripping her fans off by recycling music and producing the same songs that she did 10 years ago, most of her fans went up in arms against her. Surprisingly, some fans have changed stance and applauded the gossip queen for assuring Princess Juliana.
Commenting about the Mary Luswata – Juliana Saga, Moses a good fan of Juliana said that he was glad Mary Luswata is now doing constructive criticism. He noted that Juliana needs to work on new music like the up and coming artistes that are slowly eating into her market share.
“This is what we call constructive criticism. Mary Luswata has a point in articulating issues that should have otherwise been at a different level or at least done better,” he said.
“Surely over 10 years down the road and we still listening to the same old tune with merely different words. Am sure that Juliana and others of the kind, will reflect upon their works and elevate their game to what we expect. New and young artists are here and putting forth wonderful works. Move it on Luswata,” Moses concluded.
However other fans like Isabella Unzia of Makerere disagree with Moses. “Forgive Mary Luswata because IQ is so low. I personally no longer watch Urban coz she disgusts me. With the little salary she earns, she thinks she has the right to judge other including Juliana who is completely out of her league. Evaluate yourself woman,” she noted.
Mary insists that Juliana needs to pull her socks or retire. “Juliana Kanyomozi has failed to grow musically, she is producing the same stuff she produced 10 years ago. You look at a song that she has released and is calling brand new and you shudder,” Mary Luswata said.
