As City comedian Paddy Bitaama was laid to rest, the two heads of families that have been disputing over the paternity of local comedian Ssali Kasozi popularly known as Paddy Bitama yesterday , Monday reconciled at his burial, putting to rest the nine-day feud. Bitama’s body was laid to rest at the ancestral home in Mitala Maria, along Masaka Road.
Peter Njegula Kasozi, the blood father of the late acknowledged the Government Analytical Laboratory, Uganda Police, and all other parties that investigated and documented the case until the conflict was resolved. Richard Ssali, the heir of the late Tamale Ssali said they had buried the hatchet in order to bury the deceased.
“I am grateful that Njegula’s family has accepted us and we apologize for whatever happened. I have been with Paddy since childhood so it was hard for me to accept that he was just a half-brother. I request all my relatives to come together because we have children to look after,” Ssali said.
In attendance were several noble characters in the country including the opposition leader Col. Kizza Besigye, Pastor singer Wilson Bugembe, Kadongo Kamu singer Walukagga Mathias, Ghetto President Bobi Wine to mention but a few.
Paddy Bitaama has done diverse careers including being a radio presenter, comedian and a politician. He is survived by four children from different mothers.
