The ‘Red Eagles’ of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) went level on 37 points with Police fc after piping the Cops at Wankulukuku stadium yesterday.
A first half strike from an on-form John Ssemanzi, who also scored last week against the defending champions KCCA before setting up another for Julius Ogwang, was enough to send off Angelo Lonyesi’s Police fc on the evening.
The rest of the game saw either side’s efforts fruitless. The result leaves Express fc in 8th place on the log with 37 points from 27 games as 7th placed Police fc who stand above them on a better goal difference.
Without doubt, Express fc’s head coach, Wasswa Bossa looked much delighted with the result as his side bagged another win against a big opponent. The boys came on the back of a massive 3-0 victory against KCCA last week.
