Bright Stars

By James Robert Kayindi

The Uganda premier league (UPL) saw two games played yesterday at Mutessa II sadium in Wankulukuku as Express hosted Bright Stars while Bombo based Simba FC clashed with Soan FC at Kavumba recreational Stadium in Wakiso.

Muwagizi Wabanjji aka Express FC were held to a goalless draw at home by Bright Stars who remain unbeaten in their four games played so far. The result left the unbeaten Bright stars standing third on the UPL log with 8points from four games and a point behind SC Villa who are second on the table.

Express moved to fifth position behind Bul FC who are forth on the table with both teams at 7points in four games played.

At the Kavumba recreational stadium in Wakiso, Simba FC returned to their winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Soan FC after two successive losses despite not having head coach Fred Kajoba on the technical bench who was allegedly suspended.

Nakyenalire Robert and Rashid Bukenya scored for the army side to earn them their second win of the season after five games played. Kagimu Mata scored to give Soana their consolation of the day. Simba are now 8th on the UPL log with 6points.
