Six time league champions Express Football Club have hit the gym to boost their physical fitness ahead of the new season that kicks in almost a week’s time.

The Wankulukuku based lads hit HBT gym yesterday and will have another session on Friday. According to the club’s training schedule, the team will be having gym drills on Wednesdays and Fridays until the new season starts.

The Red Eagles were second league runners up with 53points, just four behind the eventual champions KCCA FC in the previous campaign and will now be eyeing for glory.

With all the administrative changes that saw Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi take on the club’s mantel as the new chairperson, new Vice Chairman/Administration Hajji Kamdas, H.E Bobi Wine as the Brand Manage among all other technical changes, surely there will be no room for error.

The league starts on Friday August 19th but with an earlier curtain raiser scheduled for Sunday 14th at Wankulukuku between league champions KCCA FC and Uganda Cup winners Vipers in the FUFA Super Cup.

The East African Meat Carnival has continuously proven that it is the perfect end-of-month food asylum for Kampala’s meat lovers who attend the food event at The Gardens in Najeera.

February’s edition of the meaty treats was one that left many satisfied from the all-you-can-eat buffet that only a pro chef like Mark Kaheru delivers best.

Revelers as usual started trickling in before sundown and were greeted by the aroma of well-seasoned meats and food-stuffs that were cooking on the stoves.

It was the perfect chance for friends to catch up, interact and network while savoring their meals and listening to good ol’ East African music played by the DJ masters; DJ Cisse and Benon.

The event has become a much-anticipated outdoors getaway for foodies that takes place on the last Saturday of every month.

Here are some photos from the event.

There was also a performance from Chosen Becky who entertained the crowd with her songs like “Byabangi”, “Kyosaba,” “Bankuza”—a particular favourite with the crowd.

The night was capped with Masaka’s very own Basakala Boys who had the crowds going wild with laughter at their comical acts not forgetting DJ Batta, DJ Katts and MC Might Dragon who took it a notch higher with music mixing that kept the revellers dancing until the wee hours of Sunday morning.
