Ex-BBA Star Gaetano Supports Michael Kitanda’s Album

Ex Big Brother Africa Housemate, TV and Radio personality Gaetano Kagwa has pledged to support one of Uganda’s most talented saxophonists Michael Kitanda.

Michael has a Saxfaction album coming out soon with a campaign dubbed “let’s get Michael Kitanda’s Saxfaction album out.” The Zone 7 Bar/Restaurant director and owner, will be adding UGX 10,000shs for every 10,000shs donation made towards the album.

“For 1 week I will be matching any UGX 10K to every UGX 10K donated towards #MichaelKitanda’s debut album project,” read a tweet on @gaetanokagwa’s timeline.

“I’m doing a whole 12 tracks on this debut CD,” Says Michael. He is working with different musicians around Kampala – from David Pragmo, Ernest on bass (Majestics Band), Gerald Mbuya on drums (Baximba Waves), Frank Tusubira on Keys (Code 9), Andrew Ahuura and Sam Bisaso handling mixing.

Michael is a Ugandan Smooth Jazz saxophone player. He is 23 years old and currently performs with Code 9 and Baxmba Waves. He has previously done projects with Myko Ouma, Qwela, and Isaiah Katumwa. Listen here.
