Event Promoters Plan Gulu March to Seek Gen. Salim Saleh’s Intervention

In a press conference held recently, a group of event promoters threatened to organize a march to Gulu to seek the support of General Salim Saleh, the head of the Operation Wealth Creation unit.

Promoter Balunywa, who led the briefing, expressed concerns that the government is intentionally creating a divide between musicians and promoters.

He claimed that this divide is a strategy to control the numbers in the upcoming general elections campaigns.

According to Balunywa, the government’s actions have made it increasingly difficult for promoters to organize events, which in turn affects the livelihood of musicians.

He argued that this conflict is not coincidental but part of a broader scheme to limit the influence of certain groups during the election period.

The promoters are calling on Gen. Salim Saleh to mediate and help resolve the issues between the government and the entertainment industry.

They believe that his intervention is crucial to ensuring fair treatment for all parties involved as the election season approaches.

Music promoters swear to protest until Government responds to their grievances

The planned march to Gulu is seen as a last resort by the promoters, who say they have been left with no choice but to take their grievances directly to the General.

The exact date of the march has not been announced, but the promoters emphasized that their patience is running thin.

This development highlights the growing tension between the entertainment industry and the government as the country prepares for the next general elections.
