For the next two months, Airtel Uganda subscribers are set to enjoy a big double data bonus on all bundles purchased which are greater than 100MBs.
Dubbed Airtel ‘Gattawo’, this opt-in promotion will allow Airtel subscribers to enjoy the fastest 3G speeds in Uganda on all data bundles above 100MBs for half the price.
Speaking about the promotion, Airtel Uganda Head of Internet, Simon Akunguzibwe said “For one to get the 100% bonus data, they need to 1 st opt in by dialing *175*100# and thereafter, for every bundle greater than 100MB that they purchase, they will get double the resource.”
“The bonus given is valid until midnight for daily packs and for the duration of the pack for weekly and monthly packs”, he added.
After opting into the promotion, subscribers will be able to receive 100% bonus on daily, weekly and monthly bundles greater than 100MBs. Airtel customers who subscribe to multiple bundles will still be able to enjoy the data bonus for the same validity as the individual bundles.
This promotion comes only a few weeks after the telecommunications company launched a country-wide consumer promotion in preparation for the Uganda Cranes AFCON qualifier, that will see the supporters of Uganda Cranes and lovers of Ugandan football win over 5,000 tickets, 53 million shillings and 8 cars, simply by recharging Airtel Airtime and data bundles.
