The search started in May and it went for a long three months period until yesterday 30th at the Kampala Serena hotel where 19 girls were presented for the grand finale.
The pageant first went online for the search of the most popularity and it is on the same platfoam that the best supportive journalists were to be voted and our own Derrick Luyombya was voted best supportive journalist online, Wandera Were was voted best supportive journalist Television, and Steven Odeke from new vision was best supportive journalist print.
On the evening starting with the dances from each region, the girls show cased their traditional wears, then the party dresses where they were taken through a question and answer session until they reduced to the last ten.
The last ten girls came back on stage in different dresses for another session of question and answer and they were reduced to the last five where the house came on as the crowd was cheering their girls.
Later came the tense moments when the contestants were so anxious, with their mouth shaking waiting eagerly for the last three to be crowned. And that time came when Eldad Opiaka Ondogkara was announced Miss Tourism 2016, the first runner up Rachael Ochole from Northern region and Aleper Pamela from Karamoja was second runner up.
