Eduserv Education Agency, in collaboration with Bixter Training, is thrilled to announce a groundbreaking initiative designed to benefit 200 agriculture students.
As part of this initiative, four students have already set off for Europe, marking the beginning of an ambitious plan to send 200 students abroad by the end of the year.
These talented individuals will participate in an 18-month paid internship program across Europe, including Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany. This recent departure brings the total number of students selected for European internships this year to 50.
At a recent event, Nebert Gabura, CEO of Eduserv Education Agency, shared the agency’s vision and commitment to expanding educational opportunities for Ugandan students. “We are majoring in three sectors: Agriculture, Hospitality, and Nursing programs. The biggest program is in Agriculture, and we’re working with 10-15 universities in Uganda. Currently, Agriculture programs are in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Germany,” Gabura explained.
Gabura emphasized the flexibility and benefits of the program, stating, “Trainees return after 12 months, or they can extend their stay for an additional 6 months if they choose. Now we are looking to expand and work with more organizations to enhance skills and help as many students as we can. We are also seeking agricultural organizations involved in extension work. Trainees are leaving for the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark today.”
He also highlighted the agency’s commitment to inclusivity and gender equality, urging more female students to take advantage of these opportunities. “Opportunities are open to everyone; however, we see more boys open to adventure. But we encourage more girls to apply for the programs to study abroad. We call upon organizations and NGOs to help encourage girls to apply for these opportunities,” Gabura added.
Fadhila Saad, the Director of Programs, also addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of language proficiency for the students. “We perform the British Council-IELTS partnership program coaching for the English program before they leave for the internship programs. The IELTS test is important for bachelor’s students and those looking to immigrate to other countries,” Saad stated.
