The news was recently awash with reports that SK Mbuga had beaten up his long-time lover Leila Kayondo, a case that would later end up in the courts of law.
Speaking about the events, Tamale Mirundi said that civilized gentlemen don’t beat up their women.
“Educated men don’t beat up women. It’s only the poor that beat up their spouses because they publicly have nothing to lose,” Mirundi said.
“Popular men have a lot to lose if news breaks out that they have abused their women or wives. Beat your wife and your face will be all over the newspapers,” he added.
