Musician Eddy Kenzo has revealed plans to turn his Big Talent crew into a record label.
Speaking in an interview, Kenzo revealed that he has been operating with his crew at Big Talent, a group that he founded on a basic understanding of brotherhood. He then said that he wants to move this to the next level and create a brand that will last forever.
“No one is signed at Big Talent at the moment. But we are turning Big Talent into a record label. We have been working in form of a brotherhood. We are going to professionalize this and develop talent,” he said.
He further explained that Geosteady and Tip Swizzy left the crew and the brotherhood at their own will and that they were not signed to it.
Speaking to a music enthusiast, we were told that Kenzo’s record label may stand no chance at the moment. He is why; “There are currently no laws, for record labels to work yet one needs a strong copyright law which we don’t have in Uganda. The group will certainly die they will fight over the usual things, sex and money,” we were told.
We will keep you posted.
