Eddy Kenzo

Local musician Eddy Kenzo is a bad loser. This after he came out to vent his frustration after he lost out at the MTV Africa Music Awards(MAMA) that were held in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday evening.

Kenzo, who lost to South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest in the Best Live Act category, insinuated that he had  been unfairly denied the award and accused the organisers of foul play.

Shortly after Cassper Nyovest was announced winner, an apparently upset Kenzo quickly took to social media to post: “politics here”.

However, most of his fans did not seem to agree with him as they dismissed his claims and encouraged him to work harder next year for another shot at the awards again.

He later expressed his gratitude to fans for always supporting him, posting; “Thank you for voting my people Honesty we the best I’m forever grateful. Alhamudulillah.”

Meanwhile, Uganda’s other representatives at the prestigious award ceremony, Bebe Cool and Sheebah Karungi had no luck either. Bebe Cool lost to Jah Prayzah from Zimbabwe in the Listener’s Choice category while Sheebah was beaten by Youssoupha from Congo in the Video of the Year category.
