Musician Eddy Kenzo is counting his lucky stars after surviving a nasty accident on Thursday morning.
The “Weekend” hitmaker, who was travelling upcountry, is said to have lost control around Maya, along the Kampala – Masaka highway when the car hit an unexpected bump, veering off the road and rolling multiple times.
According to Kenzo, there were no fatalities recorded. “We got an accident earlier today but we thank God for the protection we are all okay.” He confirmed on social media.
He was travelling with two others at the time of the accident.
We have since learnt Kenzo sustained several injuries including a broken arm and was rushed to a hospital, in Mpigi, along with his colleagues, for medical attention.
The accident was confirmed by police in statement which read: “The Police at Nsangi are investigating a serious accident that happened today (05/08/2021) at around 8:30am along Masaka Highway at Maya Trading Centre.
It is alleged that vehicle UBH 367X while heading to Masaka overturned around Stabex petrol station leaving the occupants injured. They are currently receiving first Aid at Omega medical centre in Nakirebe, Mpigi district, and the wrecked Motor vehicle has been towed and is currently parked at Nsangi Police as investigations go on to ascertain the cause of the accident.”
