Eddy Kenzo gay rumour is one that does not to seem to go away. The rumour which went rife following the success of his single “Stamina”, may have lessened in intensity but continues to hover over the singer.
While speaking at a press conference held at Hotel Africana recently, Kenzo yet again addressed the allegations. The singer dismissed the rumour as false and said it was the works of the haters who were scared of his growing popularity among the young generation in what he termed as “politics in the music industry”.
“Youth were falling in love with my fashion trend (skinny and brightly colored pants) and copying it. At the same time they were also falling in love with my music. So, my detractors started the gay rumour so as depopularise me among my young fans. It’s just the politics in the industry,” he said.
He added that his haters did not realise that it was the creativity in his music that had attracted the young generation, the very reason he is enjoying success on the international level.
