Musicians Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah Karungi are hoisting the Ugandan flag high on the continent.
The two singers have each received a nod in Nigerian awards dubbed Nigerian Entertainment Awards(NEA).
Kenzo is nominated for Best Africa Male Artist where he will face off with top male musicians on the continent including Sauti Sol(Kenya), Diamond Platnumz(Tanzania), Sarkodie(Ghana) and Cassper Nyovest(South Africa) among others.
On the other hand, Sheebah is nominated for Best Africa Female Artist where she will battle with top female singers including Victoria Kimani(Kenya), Vanessa Mdee(Tanzania), Efya(Ghana) and Butera Knowles(Rwanda) among others.
Meanwhile, local deejaying duo Roja and Slick Stuart have also received a nod in the Best Disc Jockey category.
The Nigerian Entertainment Awards, held annually in USA, seek to recognize the contributions of African entertainers to the entertainment industry.
