The popular Jam Sessions organized by the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) came to a temporary halt, and UNMF President, Eddy Kenzo, has shed light on the reasons behind this decision.
The Jam Sessions, a weekly musical extravaganza, were a staple event held every Tuesday at the UNMF’s headquarters at Alure Hotel & Suites (Former Serene Hotel) in Mutundwe, Kampala.
These sessions were renowned for featuring a diverse range of activities, including live band performances, comedy acts, skits, and meet-and-greet opportunities for entertainment enthusiasts and stakeholders.
In a recent interview with a local TV station, Eddy Kenzo explained the rationale behind putting a pause on the Jam Sessions. He expressed the UNMF’s aspiration to elevate the event to new heights, aiming for a grander and more impressive experience for both musicians and the audience alike.
“We want to make it big and better. We want new sound, new lighting, basically new branding,” said Eddy Kenzo, highlighting the federation’s commitment to revitalizing the Jam Sessions.
The UNMF president emphasized the desire for a fresh and innovative approach to the event, signaling an intention to bring about significant improvements in various aspects, from the audio-visual setup to the overall event branding.
While the temporary hiatus may leave fans eagerly awaiting the return of the Jam Sessions, Eddy Kenzo’s assurance of a revamped and improved experience promises an exciting revival for this beloved musical initiative.
The UNMF remains dedicated to delivering a top-notch entertainment platform for both performers and fans, setting the stage for a future edition that surpasses expectations.
