Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President Eddy Kenzo has responded to criticism from singer Jose Chameleone, who expressed disappointment over the federation’s failure to officially welcome him back to Uganda.

Speaking on the matter, Kenzo clarified that he was personally out of office at the time of Chameleone’s return.
However, in his absence, he delegated the responsibility to the UNMF secretariat.
This was in response to a request from federation member and Chameleone’s brother, Pallaso, who had asked for support in organizing the welcome event.

Despite Kenzo’s efforts to ensure the event was handled properly, he noted that the secretariat lost communication with Pallaso, who was expected to provide a detailed programme for the welcome session.
As a result, the federation was unable to proceed with plans to participate in the homecoming event.
Chameleone’s recent remarks showed clear frustration with Kenzo and the UNMF team, accusing them of not showing interest in his return.
The incident has sparked conversations within the music industry about coordination and communication among federation members.
The UNMF has yet to issue an official statement addressing Chameleone’s concerns or outlining steps to avoid similar incidents in the future.
