Celebrated Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has addressed the ongoing rumors about a misunderstanding between him and fellow artist Azawi.
Speaking out for the first time in detail, Kenzo revealed that he had requested a public discussion with Azawi, either live on television or in front of witnesses, to clear the air.
“I asked for a public exchange of opinions live on TV or with some witnesses around so that we can all understand ourselves clearly,” Kenzo said, explaining his desire for transparency and mutual understanding.
However, Kenzo disclosed that his request was turned down by Azawi.
Despite the rejection, he remains confident that the root of their disagreement stems from misinformation.
“I believe Azawi is either misinformed or deliberately chooses to ignore the good deeds of the government,” Kenzo added, suggesting that their differences might be more about perspective than personal conflict.
The two artists have both contributed significantly to Uganda’s music industry, and fans are hopeful the misunderstanding will be resolved soon.
