Sensational Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo has finally opened up on what pushed him to conduct DNA tests regarding the remains of his late father.

Speaking during a YouTube interview, Kenzo revealed that it was due to mixed and unclear information he had received from his late mother and other relatives that made him doubt whether he was truly born to the man believed to be his father.
The singer explained that these uncertainties raised personal questions, which later influenced his decision to seek clarity through a DNA test.

This development comes after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni recently revealed that Eddy Kenzo is the son of the late Eriya (Elia) Mwine aka Chefe Ali, a former National Resistance Army (NRA) fighter.

Mwine, who was registered as RO/00017, was among the early guerrilla fighters of the NRA.
Kenzo’s revelation has since sparked public discussion, with many praising him for his courage to speak openly about such a sensitive matter.
