Eddy Kenzo has taken his native Uganda and the world by storm.

His highly infectious video for Sitya Loss, featuring a dancing ensemble of street kids, has gone viral, racking up well over four million views on YouTube. It has also reached number one on various local and continental music video countdowns from Trace TV to Channel O.

His star power is undeniable and he is unstoppable. So unstoppable, in fact, that Channel O took notice and for the first time nominated him in the Best East African Artist category.

Marked up with fellow countryman Navio, then Kenya’s Elani and Sauti Sol plus Tanzanian Diamond, Eddy Kenzo shared details of what he has been up to ahead of the big day.

We will find out if his star power lands him the award on Saturday, 29 November 2014 at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Soweto. So what’s on Kenzo’s mind right now? Access the man himself here.
