Popular Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has dismissed speculations that he is converting to Christianity ahead of his wedding with fiancée Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro.
The rumors began circulating earlier this week after the couple participated in a Thanksgiving Ceremony in Nebbi, Hon. Nyamutoro’s home district.
During the event, the couple was prayed over and blessed, leading to widespread speculation about Kenzo’s religious beliefs.
In response to these rumors, Kenzo made it clear that he has no plans to change his religion. “That’s not true. Why would they do that? But for me, I believe in God, and being a Muslim doesn’t stop me from dealing with someone who is not. Religion separates people, but God unites us all,” Kenzo stated.
The Thanksgiving Ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including the President of Uganda, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who was the chief guest.
As the wedding preparations continue, both Eddy Kenzo and Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro are focused on their upcoming ceremonies, dismissing any further speculation about their religious affiliations.
