Prominent Ugandan musician Eddy Kenzo has declined a request from fellow artist King Saha to engage in a live music battle.
In a recent online interview, Kenzo stated that he is now in a leadership role and is not interested in what he referred to as “clout chasing.”
King Saha had publicly expressed his confidence in taking on Kenzo in a music showdown.
In addition, Saha claimed he could still dominate even if Kenzo teamed up with another renowned Ugandan artist, Bebe Cool.
For several months, Saha has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), which is currently led by Eddy Kenzo.
The federation aims to represent the interests of Ugandan musicians, but Saha has openly questioned its direction.
Eddy Kenzo was appointed Senior Presidential Advisor on Creatives in July, a role that further emphasizes his leadership position in the Ugandan entertainment industry.
Despite the tensions, Kenzo remains focused on his responsibilities and has no plans to engage in a public battle.
