UNMF President Eddy Kenzo has pledged to support singer Kemi Sera as she struggles to rebuild her life and return home from South Africa.

Kemi Sera’s plight gained attention after a video of her surfaced on social media, where she tearfully pleaded for help from Ugandans.

She revealed that she had been shot at and robbed of all her belongings while in South Africa, leaving her stranded and vulnerable.

In the video, Kemi shared the heartbreaking story of how a man she had been romantically involved with persuaded her to relocate to South Africa with promises of a better life.

Unfortunately, the man later disappeared with her passport, identification documents, and all the money she had.

Desperate and with no one to turn to, Kemi reached out to her former friend, fellow artist Mary Bata, despite their previous fallout. Mary Bata offered her financial assistance, but before Kemi could secure her situation, she was attacked and robbed again, leaving her to use the little she had left for medical expenses.

Moved by her story, Eddy Kenzo vowed to take immediate action. He promised to coordinate with Mary Bata to gather a detailed report about Kemi’s situation.

Acknowledging her good conduct and contributions to the music industry, Kenzo assured that the UNMF secretariat would prioritize her case to ensure she gets the necessary help.
