Chance knocks once on your door and if you fail to grab it, it continues to your neighbor. But in this case the Sitya loss hit maker Eddy Kenzo Musuza was in the right place, at the right time with the right attitude when chance knocked.
The Sitya loss song has taken him places and now he’s one of the favorite and most popular Ugandan musicians even more than our long established musicians like Bobi Wine, Chameleone, Bebe Cool among others, but as good things come, expect challenges to draw closer and this is what Kenzo experienced in the Azam deal.
News reaching our desk is that Eddy Kenzo should be too ridding in a hummer like his friend Prof. Big Eye but because there were other parties that tapped into this deal he was cheated.
It’s alleged that when the Tanzanian promotions agency approached Kenzo, they had their own strategies since they were the link to Azam. They were properly able to exploit the fact that Kenzo’s team is ill-equipped with the knowledge of what it means for someone to use their celeb status. An insider has revealed that Kenzo, after receiving the Azam deal, valued himself at approximately 80M.
After vigorous negotiations, the two parties zeroed at a sum of 30M. He is worth more than that had he insisted on the money he had asked for at least, though I still feel he’s worth more than that. This shocked many, even inside people that wanted him to scoop that deal.
According to an insider that preferred anonymity, the company was so much in need of Kenzo and was willing to cough more than that had he started slightly higher like at 100M but because they noticed some lapses in him, they were willing to squeeze him till they settled at closely 30M.
The agency that had gotten him a deal then came in and disorganized the fellow further by outlining expenditures they incurred in acquiring the deal for him and at the end of the day, Kenzo pocked only 10M.
This is therefore an eye opener to other celebrities and other people that by the time a cooperate company like Azam approached you for an advert then they need you that bad therefore give you self a value that is worth you, let it be your turning point. Am sure very many have fallen victims of this but another chance is yet to come, name a serious price.
