So much can be said about love including being blind. That and much more are ideas up for debate as production outfit the Ebonies try to demystify the subject of love focusing on women.
This is all in their new play titled “Amanyi G’omuhabati” which premiered last Friday to red carpet grandeur at Theatre Labonita. The Ebonies use music and drama as the main conveyors for their message in which they show the different things that attract women to men. Age has some thing to do with it as young girls stereo-typically have been perceived to fall for looks and “Swag”.
The immoral women’s eyes are not for looks. Her looks are on the wallet, while the moral and upright women fall for men who can fall for love and care. You will laugh because there is a clever intertwine, of humour and anecdotes presented in their production which the Ebonies are using to trace their roots as an originally musical group.
You will give it to them for good costumes, lighting and thematic production.
However, not everyone was happy with the premiere; management gave out and sold more tickets than the capacity of the theatre can hold. So many revelers did not have seats, as such they expressed their disappointment for failing to find seats to watch the play. Vice president Edward Ssekandi was chief guest.
