They are already fighting a lawsuit over claims they stole the idea for their hit American football themed HBO comedy Ballers.
And now Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson have been hit with a whopping $200 million demand after the plaintiffs finally put a cash value on their damages on Tuesday.
However the dynamic duo, who serve as executive directors on the show, will not be caving in easily, as co-defendant HBO has said the legal action is frivolous.
In the comedy Dwayne, who shot to fame as WWE superstar The Rock, plays a former retired NFL player turned financial manager.
But Sherri Littleton and Everette Silas have sued to claim they had already came up with the show, then called Off Season, back in 2007.
But according to TMZ they have now asked for the staggering sum of $200 million.
The suit names Wahlberg, Johnson and HBO as defendants and asserts the Hollywood stars stole the idea for the show from two up-and-comers.
The creative duo also allege that they almost came to an agreement with Wahlberg, Johnson and their manager to develop the project back in 2009.
However, the deal apparently fell apart when it was stated that Littleton and Silas would not get their names under the ‘Created by’ credit.
They claim the show Off Season and Ballers share too many similarities for it to simply be coincidental.
Both series are set in Miami, feature football players and their off-field antics, and focus on African American athletes.
The unknown creative pair even claim the title Ballers was derived from an episode title they came up with for Off Season,
In a statement a spokesman for HBO previously said: ‘We are confident the case has no merit.’
The series was renewed for a second season over the summer.
Wahlberg and HBO previously partnered on the network’s massive hit show Entourage, which he also produced.
Johnson and Wahlberg also partnered on a project, buddy romp Pain & Gain, back in 2012.
