Ivory Coast star Didier Drogba went home with the prestigious Golden Foot award on Wednesday in Monaco after besting top names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Andres Iniesta and former Chelsea team mate Frank Lampard in a popular vote by soccer pundits.
The 35-year-old Galatasaray forward received from the Prince of Monaco the trophy which is awarded annually to an established footballer above 28 years of age who is still active.

The Ivorian becomes the first African footballer to win the accolade and succeeds Paris Saint German striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who won it last year.
