Red Card campaign

By Our Reporter

Alcohol consumers are set to get free Uber rides this Friday and Saturday courtesy of the Red Card campaign. This is in a bid to encourage zero tolerance to drink driving.

According to our sources, UBL will have Red Card brand ambassadors on the ground at different hangouts engaging with consumers on responsible drinking. During those interactions, consumers who are already using the Uber applications will have a chance to win free Uber rides by engaging in prescribed activities and spinning the Red Card wheel.

Winners of the free rides will be issued with individual codes instantly to input to their smart phones and claim their rides. The codes can only be used once.

For consumers new to Uber, there will be an opportunity to get free rides by accessing promotional codes from the ambassadors and from the UBL Red Card Facebook and Twitter pages.

The free ride promo codes will be distributed every Friday and Saturday nights until June 2017 to help ensure revelers get home safely, without being tempted to get behind the wheel. Last weekend the red card ambassadors were at Rumor and the 400 bar in Bukoto.
