After a hiatus of almost two years, the 24-year-old Caribbean pop star Rihanna, and the 27-year-old Jewish-Canadian rapper Drake, are allegedly together once again.
In fact, the two multi-platinum selling artists were spotted together recently, which sparked off rumors that they might have reignited their love. Additionally, fans of both the singers in the hip-hop industry seem to be happy that R&B stars are together again.
However, this is not their first shot at love, as Barbados-born Rihanna and Drake (born Aubrey Graham) had been in a relationship for more than two years since 2009.
Although the two parted ways, they have remained good friends. Even after breaking up, Drake and Rihanna have been collaborating together on many chart topping songs and remixes.
Recently, during the last few weeks, different tabloids became loaded with rumors saying that the two are dating again. Drake has never shied away from rapping about his romances, and recently seemed to refer to the reports in the tabloids. In a leaked one-minute clip of the new song “Views from the 6,” which is the title track of his forthcoming album, he seems to have mentioned the dating in one way or another.
The clip revealed that the song mentions the rejuvenation of a relationship with a former love, and interestingly enough, incorporated a brief soundbite of Rihanna speaking.
On a side note, the pop diva, who performed in Israel for the first time last October, had posted “#FreePalestine” on her Twitter account in July, but later replaced the post with a more appeasing message that called for a quick end to the conflict with Drake.
While Drake has not yet commented on the issue publicly, sources close to the rapper say that he might reconsider sharing his presents with the Barbadian beauty. They say that the possibilities of this are brighter following his much-publicized 2012 “re-Bar Mitzvah.”
