So much for Drake not responding to that recent diss from Jay Z.
Drake released the new track, “Draft Day,” sometime on social media recently, and already Hip Hop heads are buzzing about his lyrical content. He samples from Lauryn Hill’s classic track “Doo-Wop (That Thing),” but people are talking because it sounds like he may have taken some subliminal jabs at Jay Z.
He raps:
“I’m focused on makin’ records and gettin’ bigger/ Just hits, no misses, that’s for the married folk”
Unlike Jay Z, Drake wasn’t direct and never named Jay Z, but many seem to think the bar was indeed a diss.
Regardless, most took to social media to praise Drake’s new track.
