Musician Jose Chameleone who also doubles as the Leone Island music boss, has been given free land in Karamoja region.
The free land was given to him by the Karimojong after he shot his ‘wale wale’ video in their land and promised to contribute to the Karamoja water project with more boreholes from his ‘one man one million’ concert slated for December 18th this year at Serena Hotel.
“I was given 1000 hectares of land for free by the Karimojong. The land is somewhere near Longonat as you head to Nakapiripirit,” he said.
“As an artiste, I am a tool of development. I want to invest my tool and contribute towards change in Karamoja. If we can be patriotic and attend the 1 Man│1 Show│1 Million concert, we can possibly raise money for 100 boreholes that would be a big development in Karamoja,” Chameleone said recently about the project that has brought him closer to the people in the region.
The singer who has already contracted a firm to build the boreholes will soon find use for his land.
