Not only is Ugandan musician Dr. Jose Chameleone enjoying Ugandan elections money through the Tubonga Nawe Campaign song, he is also enjoying Tanzanian elections money.
The singer confirmed to us recently that he was instrumental in the Tanzanian Presidential race as he was hired to entertain at Pres. Magufuli’s rallies.
“Yes, I performed for the CCM candidate Hon Magufuli.” Chameleone said after he was at one of Magufuli’s last rallies at Mbezi Beach in Tanzania.
He then highlighted his right to perform for any political party anywhere attacking all the people who have been saying that it was wrong for him to identify with Museveni yet some of his fans don’t support him.
“If I can go and perform for a presidential candidate in Tanzania, and my fans there don’t criticise me, why would it be a problem back in my country? I think those criticising us need to understand democracy and how it operates. I am supporting a man who created a safe environment for our talents to blossom to international levels, I am also happy he finally recognised us – and I am happy, that as the leading artiste, I played a major role in this achievement.”
