Following his album launch at Equatorial Parking where he was donning the Pope’s cassock and zucchetto, Dr. Hilderman has received a lot of criticism from the Catholic Church that translated the act as blasphemous.
Through the chairperson of the Uganda Performing arts President Benon Kibuka, Hilderman was able to handover a written apology to the clergy and other concerned people in the catholic fraternity.
A resolution was made and he was informed that for them to forgive him, he was supposed to apologize publicly to the community for what he did indicating that it also contradicted with the constitutional act that prohibits people from putting on attires or uniforms intended to impersonate others.
According to Hilderman, he is passionately willing to comply with this instruction however, he has come out to inform his fans that there are some people want to use this as an opportunity to get his name tarnished and be brought down something he vows not to accept. He therefore said that he will publicly apologize but will only address the apology to the affected society not to everyone.
