Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of U.S. President Donald Trump, has applauded a Ugandan kids’ online comedy group for their creative depiction of his father’s attempted assassination earlier this year.

In a video shared on Trump Jr.’s X account (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, the comedy group used locally sourced materials to re-enact the dramatic incident that occurred during President Trump’s campaign rally on July 13, 2024.
Their innovative approach captured the attention of millions online, including Trump Jr.

“This is amazing,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, expressing admiration for the group’s ingenuity.
Donald Trump Jr., born December 31, 1977, is an American businessman and the first child of President Donald Trump and his late mother, Ivana Trump. Often referred to as Don Jr., he has been actively supporting his father’s re-election campaign for the 2024 presidential race.

The assassination attempt occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, where then-presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump was addressing a large crowd. A gunman, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, opened fire from a nearby rooftop using an AR-15-style rifle.
President Trump sustained a gunshot wound to his upper right ear but survived. Tragically, one audience member was killed, and two others were critically injured in the attack. Crooks was neutralized by the United States Secret Service’s Counter Sniper Team moments after the shooting began.

The Ugandan comedy group’s skit has not only gone viral but has also highlighted their creativity and resourcefulness, earning praise from both local and international audiences.
Their work serves as a testament to the global reach of social media and the power of art to reflect significant historical moments.
