Celebrated western Uganda radio presenter, Dj Nana originally known as Ibra Mawanda who carried on his duties at Vision radio, a popular local radio station in Mbarara who had selflessly served at the radio station for more than 2 years passed away in the wee hours of Thursday morning. He was a celebrated radio sports presenter and a DJ that had worked with over 8 radio stations in Western Uganda.
DJ Nana used to work at a local radio station in Bushenyi (BFM) as a sports presenter, mid-day and in the evening. He was later recruited at Vision Radio as replacement to DJ Nesta, who had quit to manage another local radio station in FortPortal.
Our sources could not confirm the actual cause of DJ Nana’s death, however, it is said he died in his sleep.
He was finally laid to rest yesterday at his ancestral home in Nyakasanga in Kasese district.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
