Meddie Ssentogo, the flamboyant city tycoon who has faced the Luzira prison coolers, has trashed the efforts of the organizers of the recently concluded red carpet premiering of the Nile Motion Pictures blockbuster movie, Luzira: Escape from Uganda that went down at Serena Hotel Kampala. Meddie said that he is one of the superstars in Uganda who have faced the hard Luzira prison life and thus deserved a VVIP treat at the movie premiere.
Meddie Ssentogo who is fond of not missing any high class events whether invited or not is said to have arrived very late for this event and he wasn’t even dressed for the red carpet occasion. When tasked to explain his actions, he angrily revealed that it wasn’t that he couldn’t afford a VIP ticket, but rather was not happy with the organizers of the event.
In his own words he said, “This movie is about Luzira and I’m one of the biggest celebrities that prison has ever had. It’s people like us that should have deserved a VVIP table. But look around, where is Mike Mukula and Meddie Ssentongo?”
“Then who will give the media real info in relation to the movie and reality,” he further quizzed.
