Diners Lounge to host ‘Heineken DJ Melt Down’ battle

Diners lounge will host the first ever deejay battle dubbed ‘Heineken DJ Melt Down’ on the 17th of December.

The battle which will feature 10 different deejays that play music around Kampala will have the winner walking home with 700 dollars, while the 1st and 2nd runners-up will get 300 dollars and 100 dollars respectively.

The DJs will go through an elimination process until the finals where only one will come out as the overall winner. The judges of the battle will be veteran DJs who are yet to be announced.

The list of DJs who have so far confirmed attendance in the battle include Dj Roger, Dj Slick Stuart, Dj Mark, Dj Mercy Pro, Dj Lex, Dj Dash, Dj Nelly Sting, Dj Adams and Dj Deweezy among others.

“I am very glad that we as deejays are being recognized for our work, people thought that deejaying is not worth rewarding but that’s not true because it’s also a profession like any other job so we needed to be rewarded” said deejay slick Stuart.

Tickets to the battle go for Ugx10,000 which comes with a free bottle of Heineken.
