The rift between Tanzanian music powerhouses Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz seems to be getting worse by the day.
Bongo5.com reports that supporters of Ali Kiba going by the moniker #TeamKiba are fuelling anti-Diamond campaigns on social media by urging fans to vote for Nigerian artistes, Davido and Wizkid in upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) in order to humiliate Diamond.
Diamond Platnumz has been nominated in three categories in the 2015 MAMA Awards which he shares one (Best Male Artist) with Davido and Wizkid. The two other categories he features in are: Best Live Act and Best Collaboration for their song ‘Bum Bum’ with Iyanya.
The winners of MAMA Awards 2015 will be revealed during live TV Broadcast from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa on July 18.
The online war which has been raging on for a while now between the two sides, was catalysed over the weekend when Ali Kiba won big (5 accolades) in Kilimanjaro Awards 2015 to outshine his long time rival, Diamond (who won one accolade).
