Diamond Platnumz on Wednesday evening posted a photo on Instagram showing him with a nose ring, and the interwebs can’t cope.
Fans, in their thousands, took to the singer’s timeline and expressed mixed reactions toward Diamond’s ‘piercing’.
Many criticsed the Utanipenda star.
Justin Neto: My heart bleeds; people are mocking me in the streets because of your latest action; I am your diehard fan.
Abacha Mdugu: I don’t believe it is you, man!
Naa: Naseeb (Diamond Platnumz), don’t fall for worldly temptations. Those you are imitating already gave up God’s ways. Kindly understand there is tomorrow. That’s a curse you are inviting upon yourself. Change your ways.
Paulley: Stop imitating artistes from the west like Chris Brown. Their culture allows them to pierce their noses.
However, a fan identified as Joe Plus among few others observed that Diamond posted an edited photo – and that he has not in reality pierced his nose.
Another fan Salfo Style heard none of it: “Even if you have edited the image, kindly pull down the photo – it will cost you, bro. You have disappointed your fans.”
Diamond Platnumz would later post yet another photo – but this time round without a nose ring on, provoking a tirade of “shame on you” messages to those who criticised the music heavyweight.
Keziah Juicy said: “People will always hate what you do; that’s why I say always do you. You live only one life; so do whatever you feel like as long as you are happy, the rest does not count!”
